CalcTape

Pocket calculators are not only useful for math students who need to make a lot of calculations. They are also good for every day life, for calculating certain prices, expenses, bills and so on. But with the development of technology, pocket calculators remained pretty much the same, without adding new features to them. That's why software calculators are taking over classical ones. That's because they have more features, they are much easier to use and they are usually free. But if we talk about the default Windows calculator, we cannot say that it's much better than a pocket one, as its features are very limited.

Fortunately, there are a lot of programs on the market that can successfully replace the Windows Calculator. CalcTape is one of them. It's a Windows application that can calculate every equation or formula using a very intuitive interface. And best of all, it allows storing all your past calculations, so you can get back to them when needed.

The interface of CalcTape resembles a virtual notebook on which the user can simply write numbers and expressions, after which the program will automatically make all the calculations. Alternatively, one can use the right virtually calculator layout on the right side of the interface, that resembles the Windows Calculator. The software allows storing an unlimited number of operations and equations. In case one needs to close the program but would like to use all his expressions again in the future, he can simply save them all as a .calc file.

This file can also be used together with other compatible applications. One can also save all the operations as a text file, for being printed. Using the graphical toolbar of CalcTape, the user can choose the number of decimals that will be used and can also select a theme for the interface and a color for the virtual notebook. Furthermore, the program can be configured to run at Windows startup and to start minimized.
